Throughout our 25 year history, DataStarUSA’s core competency has been the design and installation of low voltage cabling, covering voice, data, wireless AP, paging, CATV, and intrusion detection. Our on-staff professional design engineering team of three (3) RCDD/NTS and three (3) RCDD personnel each has sixteen (16) to twenty five (25) years of industry experience.

DataStarUSA maintains an in-house AutoCAD department which not only provides basic network documentation, but is also capable of producing 3D AutoCAD, and sophisticated asset management products such as Aperture, Drawbase and NetDoc.

Our goal is to act as a consultative resource for our customers and potential customers to provide them with whatever level of engineering support they may desire for projects large or small. This may be as basic as helping a customer by creating AutoCAD renderings of their desired workstation cabling floor plan along with over head and vertical views of the TR and Data Center; or it may be a design-build scenario, where we work to help the customer through product selection, network budget and document creation, and installation.

DataStarUSA’s design-build scenario is based on an open book approach using a negotiated cost-plus process for materials and labor. We work closely with the project architect to incorporate the customer’s desires into the project plan and schedule set. Then using our extensive experience in the construction market within the General Contracting and Electrical Contracting community we quickly integrate into a project construction team, managing our piece of the project, giving the other project team members the peace of mind that we will work in partnership with them and deliver the highest quality product and service available, on time, and with the least amount of oversight or hassle. This process has proven to be a tremendous savings of both time and money for many of our customers.

Our goal is not to compete within the conventional ‘technology consultant’ market. We approach all of our endeavors in the attitude of partnership. In many cases we work with technology consultants in a conventional RFP response scenario, or in a design-bid-build mode. In the latter case DataStarUSA provides the skill to accurately create a detailed budget, covering all components and labor required, which can be verified by the consultant using up to date material pricing and historical data on labor hours and rates. This process also substantially reduces cost and time to complete.
